私の初めての海外渡航は、自分自身の能力に対する深い不安と葛藤を抱えながらの、孤独なスタートでした。
あの時の気持ちは、今でも鮮明に覚えています。
未熟な語学力、はっきりと自己主張ができない性格、そして言い訳ばかりで積極的に踏み出せない自分。そんな自分が原因で、物事がうまく進まないことも多く、時には涙を流し、不安に押しつぶされそうになる日々が続きました。
幼い頃から海外に強い憧れを抱いていた私は、「好奇心さえあれば何とかなる！うまくいくはず」と自信満々で渡航しました。しかしその自信は、到着後すぐに打ち砕かれました。異なる文化と未知の言語の中で生活することの厳しさ、そして自分の甘さを痛感する日々が続いたのです。
それでも、時間の経過とともに少しずつ環境に慣れ、地に足を着けて過ごせるようになり、失いかけていた自信を取り戻すことができました。そして再び、異文化への好奇心と情熱を抱けるようになったのです。何より、私を温かく迎えてくれた人々、そして支えてくれた方々への感謝の気持ちに気づくことができました。
今振り返ってみると、海外へ飛び出すすべての人々が、期待と不安を胸に進む「成長の道」を歩んでいるのだと実感します。
異文化の中で自分と向き合い、数々の困難を乗り越え、目標を達成し、喜びを得る。
海外留学とは、単に語学力や学位を得ることだけではありません。
故郷や親元を離れ、異国の地で大切な何かに“気づき”、“想い”、“感謝”しながら、それを“実現する”。
この一連のプロセスすべてが、かけがえのない心の財産となり、人としての成長につながるのではないでしょうか。

Welcome to WING JAPAN Co., Ltd.
My first experience abroad was a lonely journey, filled with uncertainty and self-doubt. Even now, I clearly remember how anxious I felt.
With limited language skills, a lack of confidence in expressing myself, and a tendency to hold back rather than step forward, I faced many challenges. There were times I felt discouraged, shed tears, and was overwhelmed by fear.
Ever since I was young, I had dreamed of going abroad. I believed that curiosity alone would carry me through—that things would somehow work out. But the reality was far different. The moment I arrived, my confidence quickly crumbled. I was confronted with the harshness of adapting to a new culture and an unfamiliar language, and I realized just how unprepared I really was.
Yet, over time, I began to adjust. I found my footing, regained my confidence little by little, and rekindled the sense of wonder and curiosity I once had. Most importantly, I came to deeply appreciate the kindness of those who welcomed and supported me along the way.
Looking back, I believe that everyone who chooses to study abroad walks this same path—a journey of personal growth filled with both excitement and anxiety.
Studying abroad is not just about learning a language or earning a degree.
It’s about stepping out of your comfort zone, facing yourself in a new environment, overcoming challenges, and discovering joy through achievement.
It’s about being far from home and learning to recognize what truly matters—feeling, reflecting, being grateful, and taking steps toward your dreams.
All of these experiences become lasting treasures that shape who you are and help you grow as a person.
